When: Tuesday 3 December – Thursday 5 December, 2013

Where: Te Papa (day 1) and the Treasury (days 2 and 3), Wellington, New Zealand

The LivingStandardsNZ Workshop brought together 28 young people to consider living standards in New Zealand. On Tuesday the 3rd of December, participants attended the day-long Government Economics Network (GEN) Conference at Te Papa.

Following the Conference, there was a two-day workshop where participants explored ‘policy knots’, using the Treasury’s Living Standards Framework (LSF) to resolve complex and long-term issues. The participants presented their conclusions to Treasury on Thursday 5 December. Their ideas were also brought together in a booklet, the 2013 Youth Living Standards Framework for New Zealand.
